Meet Shawna Jeider, PA-C Physician Assistant

Shawna has been a physician assistant for 16 years. She began her career working in Neurosurgery after completing her training at LSU. She was later called to the practice of Emergency Medicine where she worked at Our Lady of the Lake and Baton Rouge General. Shawna thrived in the quick-paced environment. She developed a passion and ability to connect and provide care to patients from all walks of life. One of the most rewarding aspects of working in the ER was taking the time to answer questions and explaining the disease process and treatment plan with her patients. We are so grateful that she now shares this compassion with our patients at Louisiana Aesthetics and Skin Care.

Throughout her career, she has maintained a keen interest in skincare and the practice of aesthetic medicine. As a self-directed learner, she has fueled this interest by attending advanced aesthetic medicine training courses, lectures, and conferences. One of Shawna’s main attributes that makes her so highly skilled and sought after is her meticulous attention to detail. She still possesses the same passion and ability to connect with patients by spending that extra time explaining treatments and answering questions. Her favorite thing about aesthetic medicine is helping patients feel the best about themselves and alleviating any fears and concerns they may have regarding their treatment. Shawna loves a natural aesthetic and believes that “less is more”.  

While not caring for patients she enjoys spending time with her family. Her two little boys keep her very active!  Shawna also enjoys traveling and looks forward to globetrotting with her family!
